Classes & Training Offered at Balance Within
For New Clients Only
Initial Evaluation
The initial evaluation gives special attention to personal health and physical history as well
as discussing goals and what the client wants to achieve from Pilates. Based on this, basic
Pilates techniques are introduced and a customized program is developed (required for all).
Introductory Package
Includes initial evaluation, 4 private sessions
Private Sessions
Privates are one-on-one sessions with an available instructor.* These sessions allow for personalized attention
to meet individual needs and/or individual injury rehabilitation. Each person starts Pilates privately.
Semi-private Sessions
Semi-privates are equipment sessions with 2-5 clients per instructor. Semis allow for clients to work on their
individual program with instructor supervision to ensure correct execution of movements, equipment set-up, and
safety. A certain amount of knowledge is required for participation to make your efforts effective so these
sessions are available to clients who have been approved for self-paced work. Periodic private work is
recommended to refine movements and advance further.
Duets
Duets are sessions that have one instructor for two clients. Permission is required for a duet to be scheduled.
Reformer Classes
Reformer classes are 2-5 clients that are lead through the same level exercises as a class by one instructor.
The emphasis is on pace, flow, and dynamic transitions. Instructor permission is required to attend class.
Mat Classes
Mat classes are for Pilates floor exercises with 2-9 persons under the guidance of an instructor. These classes
are available to clients who have been approved for Pilates floor work. Special introductory classes are
available for those with little or no previous Pilates experience.
